OOTD: Sun Wind Romance

7:30:00 PM 2 Comments
I love the sun and wind mixed together! The breeze feels cheerful and at the same time any color of clothing will make one feel comfortable.
Twirling with the sun and wind!
For my Sol Y Viento trip, since I was wearing a light bottom I've chosen to wear a dark top.
OOTD: Top by Bossini | Skirt by Coco Cabana of SM Ladies Fashion
Love the eyelet patterns on the skirt!
In my previous OOTD, I've mentioned that I am bottom heavy. To cover this up, I've worn a dark top to make my upper body look slim and gives an illusion of a small waist.

The floral metallic prints on the shirt just blends in with the sun and wind surrounding me!
There's a romantic feeling brought out from the mix of floral prints on my top and eyelet patterns on my skirt.
Because of the color combination, an hour glass figure is formed making my body look smaller than it really is.
OOTD: Sandals by Ipanema
The ribbon detail is just adorable!
With this kind of outfit, I don't have to worry breathing in during the photo shoot! All I have to do is relax, strike a pose and love how the sun & wind touches my skin!

Don't you just love the view behind me?

OOTD: Till We Meet Again

10:00:00 PM 0 Comments
I'm dedicating this blog post to Michelle Bugante who is now far away but I'm really so happy that she's enjoying her newfound adventure that she has always dreamed of!

This is our last OOTD photo shoot before she left for China.

(L-R) Joyfully Yours, Michelle Bugante, Mares Palma, Rhea Bue & Alex Purugganan. (Taken by Miki Bugante)
The next photos were taken by Michelle. =D

It's fashion that brought us together.
Each moment we share I'll always treasure.

OOTD: Top by Weekender of SM Ladies Fashion
Will miss the laugh and fears we share.
But our friendship will always be there.

OOTD: Shoes from Hong Kong
Rhea and I already miss you much.
Stay happy and safe, let's keep in touch.
Till we meet again!

OOTD: Pants from Marks & Spencer

I'm not really as good as Michelle when it comes to creative writing. If you read her OOTD posts, she does it far better than I do. I'm more into narrative and descriptive writing. :) I just thought of writing it creatively since this post is for her and looking at the photos just made me miss her. I'm sure that Rhea misses her too since she was part of our conversation yesterday. :P

By the way, this is my third OOTD post. I might not be the usual thin, skinny model but I think I represent the real women who have curves at the wrong places but can be hidden by just choosing the right type of clothes. Hope my OOTD posts inspire women out there that they can be fashionable in whatever size they are!

OOTD: Sparkling March

7:30:00 PM 0 Comments
I have always been in love with anything that's sparkly like crystals, sequins, metallic pens, you name it all! Back when I was working for SM Ladies Fashion, I frequently saw people in the office (both in my business unit and other business unit) wearing sparkly outfits. At first, it was kind of weird to see them wearing those since they're just in the office. However, part of me wished that I have their guts of wearing one.

Silently, a bought a piece that's gold and sparkling in one of my trips to the store since I had an employee's discount. The piece went in my closet and stayed there quite a bit. One day, I was invited to watch a fashion show so I grabbed some courage and finally let the piece out of my closet.

Had gold and sparkling eye shadows to match my outfit
Gold and sparkling top finally out of the closet!
Wearing the piece, I swallowed more courage and had a sparkling march to the fashion show.

During the show, I noticed a lot of the guests are either in black or sparkles. It made me feel that I belong. The once shy girl had enough courage to wear an outfit like this.

What made me love this outfit more is how it made me look like a school girl despite being sparkly. I'm indeed a school girl learning on how to wear a sparkly piece and has some amount of courage doing my very first sparkling march.

Since it's my first time wearing something sparkly like this, do you think I carried this sparkling piece right?

So tell me how do I look?
BTW, this is my very 1st purely OOTD post! =D
Special thanks to Michelle Bugante and Rhea Bue for these photos! :)

Bridal Idea: Hair & Make Up

11:30:00 AM 2 Comments
When one of my best friends was preparing for her wedding 2 years ago, she had a make up artist recommended by her mother-in-law who has been the hair and make up artist of her husband's family for years. Thinking that she can trust the hair and make up artist, she had her trial during her pre-nup shoot. The result, her make up was dark and let's say, it's not so good. The reason for this is because her hair and make up artist is so used to doing one style which suits her in-laws but the same hair and make up style doesn't suit her features. From this incident, I've learned to look for a hair & make up artist who can do make up according to my features and so I've started doing my research and surfing the net for brides who have the same features as I do.

Around 7 months ago, I saw my friend Loni's pre-nup photos on my Facebook's news feed. The first photo that I saw was her close up shot.
Loni and JP Bayangos
Loni has fair skin like I do but her pinkish lips and cheeks which is obviously from her make up, looks quite natural. I've also noticed how her features looks the same as her real face without make up which is something I like. Looking at the photo, I've asked for her hair and make up artist and contacted the person right away. A few weeks ago, I finally had my make up trial to ensure of my judgement. I went to Jackie's studio in Las Pinas and tried out how my make up will look like. I didn't book for a pre-nup shoot like my best friend did because I do not want any risk so I just went to the studio myself.
That's me before the make up trial started. Thanks Jackie for taking this photo!
Another shot by Joyfully Yours. :)
As you can see, that's Jackie's tools. Most of her make up are from Mac which suits Asian skin. Take a peek of her tools up close.
Almost everything is from Mac! Don't you feel like in Make Up Heaven?

Jackie also knows how to pamper her guest. She played romantic music and served chocolates & coffee to turn on the relax mode.

Almost done but now, let's move on to Jackie's partner hair stylist, Jeck Aguilar. (Photo taken by Jive.)
The Hair Styling Begins
Jackie's good friend and partner, Jeck Aguilar, did my hair for the trial and he will be doing my hair on my wedding day. Jeck has actually been in the industry for a long time and he's currently one of the hair stylist of Heart Evangelista!

Now he starts to take the rollers off and curls my hair. I was wondering what will happen next. Haha! :)

Finishing Touches
Jackie's almost done with my make up. (Photo taken by Jive.)
Still have some finishing touches to do.

My hair is done too!!! :D (Thanks Jackie for this picture!)
Everything is done! Hair Stylist Jeck Aguilar, me and Make Up Artist Jackie Flores! (Thanks Jive for this photo!)
What's Next?
Since my hair and make up is done, to test how it will look like in photos, Jive (Jackie's husband) became my photographer. All brides want to look good on photos without a shiny face. Since Philippines has a hot weather, it's easy for brides to sweat and become oily. To be able to assure that Jackie's make up will still look good even while perspiring, we had our photo shoot out in the sun!

Overall, I had a fun experience being with Jackie and her team. They really made sure that I'm comfortable and pampered throughout the trial session. I even wore my make up for the whole day just to make sure how long does the hair and make up take. After 3 hours, my face started to oil and after 4 hours, my hair slowly fell. I told Jackie about it but she assured me that on my wedding day, her team will be with me for the whole day to assist with my hair and make up which made me worry-free. I have finally decided afterwards that I'm getting Jackie's team for my wedding day.

Before and After Look
My before and after look. I don't look far from my without make up look right?
