OOTD: Sun Wind Romance

7:30:00 PM 2 Comments
I love the sun and wind mixed together! The breeze feels cheerful and at the same time any color of clothing will make one feel comfortable.
Twirling with the sun and wind!
For my Sol Y Viento trip, since I was wearing a light bottom I've chosen to wear a dark top.
OOTD: Top by Bossini | Skirt by Coco Cabana of SM Ladies Fashion
Love the eyelet patterns on the skirt!
In my previous OOTD, I've mentioned that I am bottom heavy. To cover this up, I've worn a dark top to make my upper body look slim and gives an illusion of a small waist.

The floral metallic prints on the shirt just blends in with the sun and wind surrounding me!
There's a romantic feeling brought out from the mix of floral prints on my top and eyelet patterns on my skirt.
Because of the color combination, an hour glass figure is formed making my body look smaller than it really is.

The ribbon detail is just adorable!
With this kind of outfit, I don't have to worry breathing in during the photo shoot! All I have to do is relax, strike a pose and love how the sun & wind touches my skin!

Don't you just love the view behind me?

OOTD: Till We Meet Again

10:00:00 PM 0 Comments
I'm dedicating this blog post to Michelle Bugante who is now far away but I'm really so happy that she's enjoying her newfound adventure that she has always dreamed of!

This is our last OOTD photo shoot before she left for China.

(L-R) Joyfully Yours, Michelle Bugante, Mares Palma, Rhea Bue & Alex Purugganan. (Taken by Miki Bugante)
The next photos were taken by Michelle. =D

It's fashion that brought us together.
Each moment we share I'll always treasure.

OOTD: Top by Weekender of SM Ladies Fashion
Will miss the laugh and fears we share.
But our friendship will always be there.

OOTD: Shoes from Hong Kong
Rhea and I already miss you much.
Stay happy and safe, let's keep in touch.
Till we meet again!

OOTD: Pants from Marks & Spencer

I'm not really as good as Michelle when it comes to creative writing. If you read her OOTD posts, she does it far better than I do. I'm more into narrative and descriptive writing. :) I just thought of writing it creatively since this post is for her and looking at the photos just made me miss her. I'm sure that Rhea misses her too since she was part of our conversation yesterday. :P

By the way, this is my third OOTD post. I might not be the usual thin, skinny model but I think I represent the real women who have curves at the wrong places but can be hidden by just choosing the right type of clothes. Hope my OOTD posts inspire women out there that they can be fashionable in whatever size they are!

OOTD: Sparkling March

7:30:00 PM 0 Comments
I have always been in love with anything that's sparkly like crystals, sequins, metallic pens, you name it all! Back when I was working for SM Ladies Fashion, I frequently saw people in the office (both in my business unit and other business unit) wearing sparkly outfits. At first, it was kind of weird to see them wearing those since they're just in the office. However, part of me wished that I have their guts of wearing one.

Silently, a bought a piece that's gold and sparkling in one of my trips to the store since I had an employee's discount. The piece went in my closet and stayed there quite a bit. One day, I was invited to watch a fashion show so I grabbed some courage and finally let the piece out of my closet.

Had gold and sparkling eye shadows to match my outfit
Gold and sparkling top finally out of the closet!
Wearing the piece, I swallowed more courage and had a sparkling march to the fashion show.

During the show, I noticed a lot of the guests are either in black or sparkles. It made me feel that I belong. The once shy girl had enough courage to wear an outfit like this.

What made me love this outfit more is how it made me look like a school girl despite being sparkly. I'm indeed a school girl learning on how to wear a sparkly piece and has some amount of courage doing my very first sparkling march.

Since it's my first time wearing something sparkly like this, do you think I carried this sparkling piece right?

So tell me how do I look?
BTW, this is my very 1st purely OOTD post! =D
Special thanks to Michelle Bugante and Rhea Bue for these photos! :)

Suiteblanco Invades Manila

6:46:00 AM 0 Comments
Filipinos will get to experience another foreign brand brought in by the SM Group of Companies, Spanish fashion firm, SUITEBLANCO! The flagship store will be opening this May 2013 and it will be located in SM Aura Premier at the Fort.

According to SUITEBLANCO's official press release, "The Philippine fashion scene is teeming with foreign brands and we have understood how the country is becoming extremely acquisitive for the past several years. As we probed into the Philippine market, it has come to our knowledge that Filipinos are embracing foreign brands now more than ever, consciously adapting the image of these brands to the way they live. So as we cultivate SUITEBLANCO as a brand on a global scale, we would like to strike the iron while hot and include the capital Manila in our store map."

Therefore I say, "Welcome to Manila, SUITEBLANCO Philippines!"  *Clap! Clap! Clap!*

The SUITEBLANCO History

SUITEBLANCO is a family business founded by Bernardo Blanco Solana which originated in Spain in 1960. Currently, SUITEBLANCO has over 270 stores in 23 countries, the brand continues to rapidly expand in the Middle East and several regions in Asia.

The SUITEBLANCO Philosophy

SUITEBLANCO speaks to the individuals who are undaunted by the latest trends and are bold in making decisions. It is for the individuals who are confident with their style and the choices that they make. With on-trend, aspirational, and affordable products, the store promises to give the optimal shopping experience to consumers.

SUITEBLANCO focuses on giving young, modern men and women with an uninhibited urban spirit the freedom to choose and decide what they want to include in their lives, and the freedom to express their style and combine garments as a form of personal expression.

SUITEBLANCO is a brand that understands what freedom is all about.

The SUITEBLANCO Spring Summer 2013

For Spring Summer 2013, SUITEBLANCO presents their Spring Bloom collection!

The collection features fun, bright pastels which is perfect for the tropical weather here in the Philippines! The sleek, tailored pieces will dominate any office or party scene!

Light, and laidback, cool and collected, just like famed Victoria’s Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna, who fronts SUITEBLANCO’s new campaign. The Russian beauty lends a youthful, energetic vibe to denim, knits, and lightweight casuals.

I love how their Spring Bloom Collection pieces look very easy to mix and match! The pieces seem basic but it has a certain character that spells C-L-A-S-S-Y! I can't wait to see the store and the things they can offer!

Before I forget, they also offer man's clothing so you can bring your guy with you and go shopping together for your new date outfit! ;)

If  you're interested with more SUITEBLANCO products, you can go to their website www.blanco.com to start shopping online or go to their Facebook page: SUITEBLANCO.

Repertory Phil's Take on Camp Rock

7:52:00 AM 0 Comments

Repertory Philippines is bringing on stage Disney's Musical Sensation "Camp Rock" which will be running for one month. The magic of this production is that it brings new actors who can dance & sing as good as the veterans. It is quite a refreshing mix of talents with lots of energy put together in one roof!

The stars of this show are Morissette, Markki Stroem, Cheska Ortega, Nacho Tambunting, Jef Flores, Nel Gomez, Justine Pena, Cara Barredo, B Delgado, Mica Fajardo, Kiara Dario, Hans Braga, Eric Mercado, Justin Valiente, Hans Eckstein, Keano Aniban, Steve Hotchkiss, Fran Jose, Kelly Nicolas, Arianna Norton, Erika Pangan (the daughter of the great Jett Pangan), Eddy Thompson, Rem Zamora, Chino Veguillas, Karyl Factora, Reb Atadero, Tristan Cheng, Daniel Delgado, Jin Dimson, Jim Ferrer, Gerald Gonzales, Toinky Lane, Chaye Mogg, Paolo Ocampo, Shalee Vicencio, Alex Reyes and Jasmine Zabala.

The girl in front touching her bangs in a yellow jacket is Erika Pangan. :)

The show is directed by Audie Gemora who also directed the show "High School Musical" in Manila.

What I love about the show is that it touches the teens who are very familiar with it that are singing while the show is ongoing. This show is like a beginner's introduction on theater. Hopefully when these teens fall in love with theater, they'll want to watch more.

Aside from the great show, I love the set up at the entrance that makes one feel you're in camp! I wasn't able to take control of myself and took some photos with my good friend Caca who went with me.

Donning a formal business attire in camp! Sorry, I went to the show straight from work.

That's my good friend Caca! :)
If you love theater and want your kids to fall in love with theater, let them watch this! For those who are not theater fans, I think this can be your introduction to theater since there are a lot of familiar songs that you'll surely enjoy!

I still can't believe that it's already the last month before the -BER months come in. Usually August passes by quickly then before one notices it, it's already the end of the year! Thus, my blog title "August Rush."

It's been almost 3 months since I've gotten into the fashion industry and things I discover never fail to amaze me. Who would've thought getting the looks of Hollywood celebrities using SM Ladies Fashion outfits are possible?
