The Ultimate Taste Test is an annual event found by Anton Diaz (of Our Awesome Planet) to help those start-ups be recognized. However, this year is quite different, thus called Pro Edition bevause of the following reasons:
1.) This year's winner will receive financial investment of worth P5 million pesos & business support from Foodee Global Concepts (the group behind Mesa, Todd English, Tim Ho Wan, etc.) led by Mr. Eric Dee with a guaranteed food stall, kiosk or restaurant in an Ayala establishment.
2.) The winner will also have an Ultimate Taste Test Startup Food Entrepreneur Online Show by Ms Patti Grandidge Herrera from Quark Henares of Globe Studios.
The event is running from Sept 2-3 from 11am-9pm with P550 entrance fee inclusive of taste test portions from the 30 vendors. Some vendors have more than 2 items so you really need to pace yourself and eat in small portions to ensure that you get to try all. Remember, the future of these vendors lies in your rating.
I was lucky enough to be invited and to experience the first day. It took me 4 hours to try each and every stall. I've heard about the event before but it was my first time to experience it. Here are my TOP 10 VENDOR PICKS in no particular order:
