Pamana: A Docu-Musical Tribute to Ninoy and Cory Aquino Opens on August 21

With Ninoy Aquino Day coming up on August 21, comes in the gala premiere of "Pamana" which is an original docu-musical written by noted playwright Rody Vera, music by Manoling V. Francisco, S.J. and Ryan Cayabyab. This show will be staged at the Meralco Theater, Ortigas Center, Pasig City.
The cast is top billed by noted stage and film actress Malou de Guzman who plays the role of Lola Azon. Lola Azon is a street sweeper who witnesses the hordes of people that marched through the funeral of a man she hardly knew. Through the years of protest rallies and struggle to end a dictatorship, she found hope and strength in the power of the people.

Jett Pangan shall tackle the role of Edgar who is Azon’s son. He witnesses the fading and the corruption of that pure hope as the years of “democracy” went by.
