Youtube Sensation Random Girl Zendee Live in Singapore!

12:42:00 AM 0 Comments
Good news to Filipinos residing in Singapore because Youtube Sensation Random Girl Zendee will be going there! For those who do not know who she is, do you remember the news of a girl singing "And I'm Telling You" in SM Megamall last year? To know more about this Zendee, read my past article about her here.

Singapore’s top communications company Star Hub presents “Under the Stars: From Online to a Live Stage” a stellar concert with a great line-up of international and local talents that have successfully gained a following on YouTube.

Featured line-up of artists include Tanner Patrick (USA), Madilyn Bailey (USA), Nate Tao (USA), The 38 Years Ago (Thailand), The Sam Willows (Singapore) and the Philippines's very own Zendee as the final act.

The concept of taking YouTube sensations to a whole new level remains – bringing them closer to the audience by taking them from online to a live stage. The 3-hour musical festival will be held under the starry sky at The Coliseum of Resorts World Sentosa on June 28, 7:00pm.

For us here living in the Philippines and those outside Singapore, live streaming of the concert will be available via http://www.youtube.com/user/StarHub/home.

Zendee, and the rest of her band, flew to Singapore earlier this week to meet her co-performers. She also plans to tour around the city on her spare time since this is her first time in Singapore. Excited and nervous, Zendee feels honored to be selected as the final act in this once in a lifetime experience.

She is currently promoting her 2nd single “The Ones You Love”, from her debut album “I Believe” under Warner Music Philippines with a possible nationwide tour around the Philippines which is something to look forward to! Also, stay tuned as she documents her trip complete with photos to be featured in a local magazine soon.

Want to know more about Zendee? Check out her website www.zendee.com.ph or her Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/Zendee.Music. You can also follow her on Twitter @ZendeeOfficial to get latest updates about her.

Since Zendee got famous because of Youtube, she also has her own page there: http://www.youtube.com/zendeerosetenerefe so that you can hear and enjoy her sing!

Random Girl Zendee Launches Album

12:00:00 AM 0 Comments
Zendee, the "Random Girl," was caught singing Jennifer Holiday's "And I Am Telling You" in SM Megamall by Youtube user youngjay0918 who posted it last July 28, 2012 got as much as 2 million views at the present. Since posted, the video went viral and Zendee became known as "Random Girl," "Mystery Karaoke Girl," "Viral Diva" and "Supermarket Star."

Warner Music Philippines got attracted with this video and offered her a recording contract. Zendee's video also caught the interest of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she was regarded as “the next big thing.” The Ellen camp contacted her in August, and together with Warner Music, flew her to Los Angeles for taping.

Her debut on the international stage, a performance of what she sang in her Youtube hit, “And I Am Telling You” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which aired on Oct. 26, 2012. During the show, DeGeneres gave her an iPad 3 made to look like a miniature portable videoke machine, “filled with all the songs” that the singer loved.

At six years old, Zendee was recording her vocals on cassette tapes and sending these to her mom, who was working abroad then also as a singer, in the hope that she would be “discovered” and they could then be together.

Believing that her talent would give her the means to help her family, she also started joining singing contests, as well as every other singing opportunity that came her way. She became a scholar of Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao, now Sarangani representative, after singing at his campaign sortie. With his help, Zendee completed her education with a degree in Information Technology at STI-General Santos.

After college graduation, Zendee got her first big break when she was brought to Metro Manila to participate in the ABS-CBN talent show X-Factor Philippines. Unfortunately, she did not make it past boot camp tryouts but she has chosen to stay in Metro Manila, where all the TV networks are located in, to try out for other singing competitions, including Pinoy Dream Academy Season 3 and Pilipinas Got Talent Season 4both are by ABS-CBN againUnfortunately, she didn’t make it to the final cut on these shows.

Not giving up and believing in her talent, Zendee joined smaller singing contests, such as a segment on primetime variety show Will Time Big Time on TV5During this period, she and her mother would sleep at a Mandaluyong fire station at night. The young singer would practice at videoke display stands at nearby malls during the day and that was how she got "discovered" because a passerby took her video and posted it on Youtube.
The pretty Zendee whose voice is as beautiful as she is!
Last April 30, in front of the media and other special guests, Warner Music Philippines has finally launched Zendee's debut album entitled I Believe. I think that the album's name fits her so well because Zendee has never given up in believing that she can make it as a singer to help her family's finance and her dreams are coming true!

What's more amazing is that she will be performing as a special guest artist on Jason Mraz's concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum (Zendee's dream venue to hold a concert) on May 14, 2013!

At the moment, Zendee is guesting on Party Pilipinas, Manny Many Prizes and is not yet connected to any TV networks! *Wink wink TV networks!!!* During her album launch, I have experience her talent. Like her, I believe that she has what it takes to be the next superstar with the high notes that she can reach and her energy is just endless!

Zendee's album I Believe is out now in all major record bars and on iTunes. The album features six original compositions and three cover songs. If you were wowed by her voice in these videos, I suggest you better get her album now and support this fantastic talented lady!
