# 100 Magazine # launch

100: I Am A Visionary Launch

100 Magazine Executive Editor Richie Yang

Last January 27, 2010, in the heart of Highstreet, Fort Bonifacio, 100 Magazine launched their new issue "100: I Am A Visionary" featuring the top 100 people who are running for different political positions this year.

The Crowd

If you think it's impossible to put 100 politicians from different political parties and have different beliefs in one room, 100 Magazine has proven an effective way to put them in one magazine! 100's latest issue, 100 Visionaries List, gives us some hope that somehow it's possible for these 100 visionaries to change our country for the better. Their different backgrounds, life stories and projects that they have accomplished can be seen in this issue. It is easy for us to criticize the different politicians and campaigns that have been circulating around the metro but do we really know these people? 100: I Am A Visionary will give us insight to things that we have never heard or seen before.

Taguig City's Mayor Freddie Tinga

CamSur's Governor L-Ray Villafuerte

There are two covers of 100's visionary list. There is Taguig City's Mayor Freddie Tinga and CamSur's Governor L-Ray Villafuerte.

Mayor Tinga

Mayor Tinga was chosen because of how he has transformed a once squatter infested Taguig into the chic place it is now. Although not the whole city of Taguig has been transformed, one still has to applaud him for being able to create a wonderful place such as The Fort. Whenever I have friends from abroad coming here, I always make sure we visit there just to show them how beautiful Philippines has become. Even though I'm not a resident of Taguig, I salute you, Mayor Tinga!

CamSur's Governor L-Ray Villafuerte has upgraded the once unknown Camarines Sur into our country's top tourist destination because of water sports! During the slideshow of pictures, I was very surprised to see all those extreme sports that Gov. Villafuerte did. I think it's his passion for these sports that has helped him make his projects and at the same time promote CamSur and of course, The Philippines, as an exciting must-go place for all water sport enthusiast. My hat's off for Governor Villafuerte!

Messages from the Visionaries on the Freedom Wall

There was a freedom wall during the launch which allowed the guest politicians to write about what they feel. From their messages, one can see how hopeful these politicians are. Since they are the ones in power, I wish they will really be working on their hopes and someday we'll see the once third world Philippines into a world class country.

100 Editor-in-Chief Carlo Velasco with the Visionaries gives a toast for a better Philippines.
