Ateneo Blue Repertory 21st Season Finale: "Spring Awakening"

As its 21st Season finale offering, the Ateneo Blue Repertory presents the Tony Award-winning rock musical: Spring Awakening on Valentine's, February 14, 2013, 8pm at the Rizal Mini Theatre, G/F Faber Hall, Ateneo de Manila University.

Spring Awakening tells the story of teenagers experiencing the conflicting emotions, confusing thoughts, and brave curiosity of adolescence. The free-spirited intellectual Melchior is frustrated over the close-minded and conservative nature of society. His buddy Moritz, while being pressured by his school’s unfair system, is haunted by wild sexual dreams. Together with their peers, they paint a riveting tale of the woes of growing up through rock music.

The show will feature blueREP alumnus Gab Medina as Melchior. Current blueREP members Boo Gabunada and Bernice Reyes will play Moritz and Wendla, respectively.

Joining the casts is current member Maronne Cruz who was also seen in Bare and Little Shop of Horrors.
